From 1 July 2023 to 11 February 2025 the Vespucci will sail for 20 months, calling at over 30 ports in 28 countries and touching all 5 continents of the globe.
A world tour that will see the Italian Navy Training Ship – which with its 92 candles blown out last February 22, is the oldest Italian naval unit in service – sailing under full sail with the officer cadets of the 1st class on board of the Naval Academy of Livorno, who will receive their "baptism of the sea" during the summer training campaign.
In keeping with the tradition of the ancient seafaring art and the innovation of its systems oriented towards environmental protection, Vespucci will bring to the world the values of national history and culture as well as Italian manufacturing excellence, in support of the importance of the theme of maritime for global development.
Former UNESCO and UNICEF Ambassador, Nave Vespucci during her world tour will be the means to develop and consolidate collaborations in the academic and university fields, especially in the field of scientific research and the protection of the marine system, also promoting the environmental objectives of World Oceans Day .
The Associazione Radioamatori Marinai Italiani (A.R.M.I.), under the patronage of the Associazione Radioamatori Italiani (A.R.I.) , Associazione Nazionale Genieri e Trasmettitori d'Italia (A.N.G.E.T.) and Associazione Nazionale Marinai d'Italia (A.N.M.I.), issues a diploma valid from 1 July 2023 until 11 February 2025, the date of Vespucci's return to his homeland.
